Blue + Green = BREEN

I had the opportunity to watch my nephews for a couple days this past week. One of the fun things we were tasked to do, was dye the Easter eggs. I didn't care too much, because at this point we were at their house, so it wasn't my kitchen they were making a mess in.  There were like 8 colors in the kit we opened.. We opened the small packet with only 3 colors in it..  so the one in the middle that looks like orange.. or maybe even yellow.. yea.. not ... turned out to be GREEN.. .. who'd a thunk

So the little guy was entertained by watching us dye the eggs, but he also got his first crack at a banana,in the peel like a monkey, who'd have thought he might try to eat the peel..  Well I think after his first bite into the peel & realizing it wasn't tasty, he stuck to eating the banana. He had fun peeling it on his own, like a big boy too.

So back to the Eggs. We had Blue, Green & PINK. ( eww that's for girls )
Can you tell what his favorite colors were!
It's also very hard to wait a long time for the colors to get dark.

So once they were done with the blues & greens. I posed the question, what would happen if you put a blue one in the green cup.. He quickly answers well it'll be BREEN.

The package also came w/ those shrinky wrappers to put around them.. The eggs were too fat, so we had to do some manipulating, but made them work. I wasn't too sure on dipping eggs in hot boiling water with a 3 year old, so the package said we could use the hair dryer.. Since E, says the hairdryer can only be used in the bathroom. We had to improvise. Everyone so far has liked our egg holder too(hey a little ingenuity here)  notice we only have one casualty(so far) from the dyeing process.

So after dying, cooling, hair drying, shrinky dinking.. we ended up with this.
(Note: Breen one) to the right of the empty hole. Above it is Blue w/ Pink..

Oh wait, but the package has Stickers, and what 3 year old can't resist stickers.
This is what happened when we stickered them.....

apparently eggs shouldn't be stickered.

Must have been a lot of fun, cuz he wants to know when they can go to the store & get more eggs.. mom was sad she missed out on the fun.. so she might just use up the 5 fizzy colors left.
