Pie
More baking test pies. There is a from scratch pie contest at the local winter farmers market. I want something unique. Last year 90% of the pies were apple. I made an apple too. I am bound and determined to make something different, unique & WIN. the prize is a gift certificate to whol.e fo.ods
I made raspberry , chocolate banana, and apple ( yeah i know ) last week.
Today I made a mixed berry .. strawberry, raspberry, blackberry & blueberry pie.
Everyone at work is going to be disappointed when the contest is over, because I won't be bringing in sample pies to test.
We'll see how mixed berry goes.. Oh yeah.. I've been doing very good on the diet too. So I'm not really sampling but just a taste of the pie.

Na.Pro update this week.
So the nice Na.Pro dr. has looked at my charts. He wants me to get bloodwork done before he prescribes anything.. I initially asked him for something to make me create some CM. cuz I am -0- like almost the entire cycle. He wants the whole thyroid series done, progesterone, etc.. ( which he wasn't able to write me a lab slip for ) So I am waiting for my local doc to write the lab slip so I can get that done. this all is just taking sooo long.. Once I get bloodwork done, he wants to see me in his office. to review my chart. Really so he's going to be cooperative at least now on my having to travel 3.5 hours to see him. I hope he has a magic wand that is going to make it all better. Maybe I should have gone the H route, at least he from what I hear is more cooperative long distance.

R v W
Today, I am thankful that some 37 years ago, a young woman chose life for her unborn son. That son she chose life for, is my husband. She made the doubly tough decision to give her son up for adoption. A loving family who could not have children, at the time, adopted him and also 4 other children. Thank you to all the moms who have made the choice to choose life for their baby.

DM
The one drawback to my work, is I work with a lot of people that I never ever get to meet. I work in the corporate hq, but day to day I work with our reps & customers all over the world. Sometimes things are stressful, but, I love working with so many diverse people. I have lots of memories with all these people.
I learned in a business class a long, long time ago, that if you want to be good with people, you have to treat them like you want to be treated as a person. I have learned to get to know people by voice, because I don't get to see them in person. I also make good use of my O.utlook calendar & put anything I learn about them on it like; birthdays, anniversaries, births of babies, etc. Then their are other things imbedded in my memory, that don't need a placed on the calendar, like who I was talking to when the plane hit the world t.rade center, or who was stranded when the blackout occurred.
I blame it on the hormones, but I got pretty annoyed that DM was not returning my e-mails last week, I really was ticked that I couldn't complete my job, because he wasn't replying. So I let it wait a couple of days & then e-mailed someone else to find out what his issue was & why he didn't feel the need to respond to me. <Insert foot into mouth> The co-worker i contacted said: Oh didn't you know! What didn't I know? He said I'm so sorry no one told you, but DM passed away on Christmas Morning. I felt like a total heel for a couple of days. RIP DM. Thankfully they aren't "replacing" his position, cuz I don't want to have to say are you the person replacing DM, because truly no one could replace him, HE always did what we asked when we asked, with no hesitation.
Lesson learned, take a deep breath, things aren't always as they appear. Pack patience in my lunchbox.

Na.Pro Dr. update
Well I've decided to wait for the Na.Pro Dr. P. to review our charts & medical records.
Lucky for me my in-laws will be visiting him next week. I don't want to be super pushy, but I am going to print the medical records, and have them hand deliver them to him. He's acknowledged receiving, my e-mails before, I just don't want to appear pushy.. for right now I am just looking for help with creating some chartable- CM. Anyone have any suggestions they have been given...
I have been praying for his recovery from surgery. I would ask if you could add him to your prayers for a quick recovery.
Please add to your prayers a local pro-life OB/GYN. My CrMS instructor & I have been encouraging this doc to become NaPro trained. He is a wonderful doctor, who has a very busy practice. Both my instructor & I have IF issues, of varying degrees, she has had success with Na.Pro, and I am waiting for my success to happen. It would be very nice to have a Na.Pro doctor to visit locally. Maybe it's what us IF'ers can pray for during Lent; for more doc's to become Na.Pro trained. I am very grateful to have access to a Na.Pro doctor( but 3 1/2 hours away). I just wish one were closer. I am also very grateful for a Pro-Life doctor who is kind, caring & compassionate, that is close.

Snow !!
We are being blanketed with our first snowfall of 2012.. Well realistically the first of the winter, that will stick for more than 5 hours.
Soo excited. I called my 2 year old nephew who lives about 5 miles away and told him to look outside. I could hear him saying Snow Momma Snow momma, Snow ! He got new boots for Christmas, but we haven't had anything to test them out in, until now !!
Amazingly I found a snow shovel in my garage! You see my hubby does snowplowing this time of year. Our house always comes last. Thankfully it's done snowing, so I got the shovel out & did our driveway and my grandma's tonight and then I'll do our neighbors in the morning. I sometimes have a hard time keeping quiet.. on snow nights, see he goes to bed early, because he gets up about 2am to head out & plow. So this was the perfect little activity to get me out & let him rest peacefully, and keep me up til the 11pm news & weather. I have to wake him if anything out of the ordinary comes up in the forecast.
You can let God know that this is perfect practice for motherhood & that I am very ready. Late nights, alarm clocks going off every 2 hours(aka night feedings) early mornings. Somehow I will wake up sleepy but ready to go to my job early in the morning.

Lucky
So I've been lucky enough to have the last 16 days off work; but I am not looking forward to getting up " early" and going to work tomorrow. I am thankful that I have a job; but pray with me that this be the year that they get more flexible with us & work a little bit more from home. If gas goes to $5 a gallon like they say it might, I might have to start riding my bike to work. My dad always told us that if gas went over $2.50 a gallon that we should ride our bike everywhere & the big oil tycoons would get the message. "fuel" is probably the single biggest expense in our house, see my husband has a business, that uses gas/diesel for everything that it does, so I for one do not look forward to $5 a gallon..
Oh well, headed to set the alarm clock for the first time in 16 days.. Wonder if it still even works.. I'm sure it's got some dust on it ! Ha !
