Everything you wanted to know about Mosquitoes
Interesting facts: only the females seek blood from humans and animals. Life Cycle is only about a month.
Not a big fan of them. I have a great tonic that I spray outside a couple of days before company is coming over for outside events. Definitely spray over any standing water areas.
So you will need
+ hose end sprayer.
+ 1 cup Lemon Dish Soap ( must use lemon )
+ 1 cup Lemon Ammonia ( must use lemon )
+ hot water
Pour the soap & ammonia in the hose end sprayer, top it off with HOT water. No need to saturate, just gently cover all areas of your lawn, bushes, etc, ( I avoid doing my veggie garden ) if you have any standing water areas, you definitely want to spray some over them. The soap in the mix, helps you see where you are putting it & when you are close to running out & need to mix another batch. ( I have 1/2 acre, and use about 5-6 batches to apply to my yard. )
This does not 100% eliminate mosquitoes, nothing will guarantee 100%. It does a pretty decent job, keeping them under control. If you are having a party on a Saturday, I would advise spraying this mix like Monday-Wednesday-Friday to get them under control.
