I did it.

I made it, I graduated this past weekend with my Bachelors in Management.

I have been up many late nights for the last year, had to forgo many weekend plans to study, do assignments and take tests. It is all so worth it.

If you can dream it you can do it !!

Traveling with littles

Who loves to travel with their little's!!

We try to make 2 longer week long trips during the year and several weekend getaways throughout the year.  This year however we bought a camper, travel trailer for those into camping.  So we will be doing a lot more getting away this summer and hopefully into spring.  The one thing I try to get my little involved with is packing.

This is my mom hack for packing with little's for travel.

Packing list that they get to help out with. I have a saved power point picture document of the items she needs to collect and I just change the number of items she needs for each trip. Now that she's more accustomed to it its much smoother and she can't wait for me to print it.  She knows when she's picking shirts and shorts that they need to match, and she's not just accumulating 5 shirts to have 5 shirts. I have her set all her items out on her bed- like the power point picture, and mom or dad review to make sure she has everything and we make adjustments if necessary. ( like bringing a Easter dress to a camp ground ).  I make sure to have extras for the occasional accidents or girls just need to change on a whim.

Sometimes the list will include just clothes, and sometimes it will have toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, bows, brush, books, toys, dolls, etc.

Here is an example of one that I used as guide. I have modified mine to have pictures of 'girls' clothes , and the types of clothes my daughter has in her closet. Example dresses - I put a picture of a play dress or church dress. I type in the numbers vs filling in them in like this sheet.

Here's an example some other moms have made for general packing lists for camping with kids.

Time flies

I am finishing up my first semester back to college. I took 2 classes.  Crazy how it flies by. I have a week off and I start another 2 classes. I will hopefully take the summer semester off ( nothing right now I can take ) then back to it in the fall.

Other than than my little has 9 more classes left of preschool and it's done.  Ahhh. where did that time go... Then on to kindergarten.

So I'm doing a thing

I have gone to school for many years. After many classes for occupations that I didn't pursue, I got my associates years ago, then I started working on my bachelors, and have never completed it. Well folks - the time has come. After disappointing job searches, being told oh you have the experience but not the degree. I have 6 or 7 classes left to complete it and I will have the "degree" to back up the experience.

My daughter thinks its cool mom is in "college" she doesn't think its cool when she has to share the Ipad with mom when she's doing school. Things are so different now. Online -- E-Books -- Professors who lecture from their bedroom.( SMH).

Dusting this off

Time to dust this off, who knows where our nation is going, and this will be a good place to start documenting again.

Four

WOW ..

We are 4 !!

I don't know where the time has gone.

So an update.
Corona has been rough, I mean where hasn't it been, we are in a hot spot area. So we don't go out much at all, zero stores, we grocery shop online, take out if we need a break from cooking.

We planted a garden with veggies we started from seeds.

Our vacation plans are nixed because we can't leave the country, but we have our health, and we were able to resume in person mass a few weeks ago.

Some of the Lizard's favorite things:

Her babysitter is her BFF and like a big sister.
She likes Green Beans raw.
She loves black olives and even better if they are on pizza.
She loves water but it needs to be cold -with ice.
Playing with her neighbor friends.

She is ready for school to return. She misses learning in person. We did our best with remote learning, as I was still working everyday ( at home during the day ). She has been practicing her prayers, and can say grace all on her own. She's mastered the sign of the cross ( but sometimes needs the encouragement to start with the right hand. We have 5 weeks before school will start - she is going to our churches Catholic school (god-willing they open).

Pre-what.

This nugget starts Preschool in a couple weeks,

so we've been testing out the backpack thing.

so for now, she wears it to church and has all her quiet materials in it.

I think she's gonna give the teachers a run for their money$$.  In all honesty she is super excited to go, she is so social. The complete opposite of hubs and I. She loves being around people. She has quite the vocabulary. I can't wait for it to flourish and blossom more.
