Nicknames

Well we have nicknames for the gestating ones.

Drum roll.....

Thing 1

and

Thing 2

Hubs did not know thing 1 & 2 are based on a Dr Seuss book, he has just seen other people's Halloween costumes. We'll have to brush up his kids books soon.

The name Peanut has been retired.

We are requesting (yes now- so we have a goal to look forward to), a elective date of June 15.  (That will be 37 weeks)

Double one

Roses are red, violets are blue.

We knew we are pregnant, but guess what?

There are 2 !!

Twice the blessings
Twice the fun
Two little miracles
Instead of one!

We prayed for one, but blessed with two.

To say we are shocked!!

I saw the 2 sacs, and 2 heartbeats on ultrasound today. All this after seeing my ob earlier in the day, who said, all looks great, I'll see you at week 12.   I wrote him an email when I left the ultrasound, and said, I think their might be a change of plans.

I guess the plan is to go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound.

Fuzzy

My mind is already fuzzy.

So I don't forget certain details, I will document them here.

Day before I tested, we went to our dioceses pregnancy and infant loss mass. So in addition to Sam, Andrew, and David being prayed for at the mass. We were given a blessing for those wishing to conceive. We were blessed with a St. Gerard relic.  We received rosaries for each of our boys.

When I emailed my doctor, to inform him, he responded with smiley emoji in the email.  Not exactly what I expected, but he is very sweet.

On All Souls Day, we attended our parish mass, and we placed a candle on the altar for David. (All those deceased had a candle displayed during mass).

Mechanics of +

Well meaning people ask if you have infertility how did you get pregnant, IVF, IUI, etc.

None of the above.  We've used a combo recommended by a NaPro doctor. Tweaks happen.

People ask did it take 9 months to get pregnant, after your last loss?

My husband and I waited the recommended time after our last birth(loss) + emotional time. We were in no hurry to conceive right away.. We didn't avoid, but didn't use medication to trigger ovulation. We feel it is very rough on your body, to be pregnant ( for any length of time) and then try to conceive immediately. If I had a child and was nursing, my body would naturally block fertility. We feel that it's your body's time to relax, refresh, build back up essential nutrients, which can get depleted during pregnancy.

Our doctors have never said you need to wait # of months/weeks after a loss to try again. They have always said, it's honestly when you are emotionally ready to try again..

Having been pregnant a fair share of the last 3 years. We were ready for a break. It was nice to be able to crack open a beer, drink a glass of wine, enjoy watersports when on vacation, go down the waterslide, etc.  Knowing that it takes a couple of months for my body to regulate and work properly; I took my cocktail mixture ( femara, prometrium, mucus enhancers ) starting in July. Had some bad timing, vacation with no privacy, and fumbles with getting refills. I honestly had no inkling that October would be the month.

We are eager to meet our new family member in Summer 2016

+Prayers

Thank you all ( followers, lurkers, friends )

I am still in the disbelief phase. Also a lot of bloodwork phase, so maybe disbelief  from all the pokes.

So do you believe that your child to be gains the soul of person recently deceased?

2 weeks ago, I had a funny feeling, and sure enough, as my history of funny feelings has gone. I was first to know that a dear priest friend of ours passed away. Literally started calling people about him, and people telling me no, he hadn't passed, only to find our several hours later I was correct.

I am feeling okay. The only symptoms I'm having  thus far, sensitive to smells- especially  food, some zits, and tender bb's.

I'm starting to get up 1x a night for the bathroom already.

I'm actually down a couple of lbs, since last week, but that's more cuz fit bit and are keeping up the steps.

I'm still waiting on my progesterone and hcg numbers to come back.

Thank you for your continued prayers

February 9, 2014

Four months have passed by, but it still seems like yesterday. I relive the moments of my sweet Andrew almost everyday. I had a lot of fears, going into knowing that your due date(2-9-14) was in the middle of the winter, and prayed that their wouldn't be a huge snow storm, when you decided to arrive. I even pushed to do our birth classes early so we didn't have to travel to the hospital an hour away, in November/December, because I don't like driving in it.

Who'd have thought I would have made that hour drive on a day in October ( in labor ) all by myself. I was nice and calm, which is why 2 doctors and a host of nurses thought no way could she be in labor, thanks to hypnobirthing. Something kinda like a superwoman. I had no bag packed. We hadn't really discussed names yet, but when you arrived so little & they let us hold you, the nurse asked did we have a name, and I quietly said nnn.. and your dad piped up & said Andrew Ronald.  Your dad can be indecisive at times.. so I was glad he had an answer.

I still pray for another child, but God has not blessed us with another saint yet.

If you would take a minute & say a prayer to St. Gerard, for those who are expecting. There are a few, who've been in my shoes, that are in the expecting  now, that I pray for daily, I pray so that God may protect your little blessings.  Those who have experienced loss of a child, or infertility, who know how hard it is. I pray for strength for you each day, some days it's not easy, to leave it in God's hands.

?????????? WHAT

I am flabergasted that we may be having a honeymoon baby.  Well --7 years after the fact.

Long time ago. like 9 months ago, I posted about finding out about our little peanut. Sammy decided that he wanted to forgoe his earthly life & join the saints in heaven.    +++

I just pray that this precious gift decides to join us in 2014.

2014 would have probably been the end of me trying. I would be having a milestone birthday & finally accepting & willing to end the endless pursuing treatments & popping pills.

Now I need to write my doc & have him call in blood work..

++Update++ I wrote my NaPro doctor on 6/4 he wrote back instantly & said he would send in a lab slip for me.  Its now 6/6 & the lab still does not have a request from him.  I guess I'm going to have to write him again. My local doc, with the steel clad nurses won't let me in until i'm 8 weeks, I can't get past them to even get him a note..Don't these people realize I don't need any stress over this ++ Hubs & I have agreed to not tell anyone til we both see it on a screen & make it past the 1st trimester.  Now I have to figure a way to bully myself at the doctors office to get out of their 12 week required "nurse" visit. (So I can have a  visit w/ the doctor instead)
