 1.  They are finally bottling this stuff.. My sister who lives out east doesn't live near any of the restaurants & would have us pick up the packets of sauce & mail her some, or bring them when we came. Now it will be nice to buy a bottle of the stuff. I got an e-mail today w/ a coupon too..

3. Good wine for this time of year.. Witches Brew.. Serve warm -it's a spiced wine.

 

 

4.  We just got a cheesecake factory in our state. Had !! to make a trip to the mall.. well for a piece of cheesecake.. This is what I had. Cheesecake & chocolate cake.. 30th anniversary cheesecake is what they called it. Very delicious!!

 

 

5. Taco Dip with some Corn Tortillas, it's the go to ticket this week for a quick dinner.

3. Seat protectors. ( some little guys who ride in my SUV, love to kick when they are in their carseats)

   They make ones that cover the back of the seat,, so they don't scuff it up.

4. In love w/ the new 2015 Tahoe... So much that I don't even mind that it's red. Red is my least favorite car color.  2015 Tahoe

it's been a few weeks.

1.  Original "cinnamon" dentyne is my favorite. getting harder & harder to find.. but I still have a couple of " secret places to get it from. I like cuz they don't use any artificial sweeteners in it..

2. My Faux Mason Jar.... it's plastic.. it's insulated.. it's clear.. it's great for work. 

3. Speciality note paper for hand written notes.

4.  Toll House "ULTIMATES" break & bake cookies.. we do a couple at a time.. great fall treat in the evening.

5. Cute picture of my niece.. lil mac.  .. she was in town 2 weeks ago.. sweet smiles all the time.

This week's five fav's are courtesy of our furniture shopping adventure last weekend.. I found so many unique things. Now if just had a bigger house & a lot bigger budget for furniture shopping.

5. Crank Tables. Saw them at several stores, in sizes from Dining Room tables, in rectangle & round to smaller ones for end tables & coffe table sized.  ( we are trying to get rid of glass top coffee/end tables) so hubs said no to these. They are very cool though!

This week, fruit has been big in the diet. Eat what you can handle is what the nurse said yesterday.

1. Apples ( Pink Ladies to be exact )
2. Strawberries
3. Blueberries
4. Peaches
5. Raspberries.

5 Fav's MI edition

My 5 Favorite's are treats from my home state.

1) Faygo POP ! yes we call it Pop, you may call it soda, one in the same. Rock & Rye is my favorite.
 

2) Better Made potato chips. ( Gluten Free ) made with locally grown potatoes ( as much as possible)

3) Apples.. we grow many many apples. some varieties that are seldom found anywhere else ( Northern Spy ) are great for baking.

4)  MI Cherries.. Cherry Capital of the World  -- Traverse City-- our favorite place to visit is Cherry Republic.. They have everything Cherry.. Dried Cherries, Chocolate Covered, Jams, Preserves, pies, cookies, wine, soda, tortilla chips, fudge, you name it they make it.Cherry Goodness

   

5)  Sanders Fudge Sauce-- awesome on ice cream.

Here's my Independence Day edition ( yeah.. some people call it the 4th ) but it's real name is Independence Day.

1. I love cakes, decorated to be an American Flag..

2. Picnic Fair.. I'm not into a pretentious meal on this day.. I want it simple & quick.  Deviled eggs are almost always on our picnic spread...  Lemonade, Hot Dogs, Corn on the Cob. !!

3. I remember making these as a kid..

4. Fun Gluten Free Treat for the day.

5. Fireworks ( as long as it's not 3 in the morning  )

There is a small trend in my fav's today, based on my current condition.

1. oatmeal bath

2. itch relieving gel , although people at work wonder why I have it sitting on my desk. Well I'm lucky enough to have poison ivy on my hand, so every time i go to the bathroom & wash, I have to reapply.



3. Light Long Sleeve shirts. You don't want to see the nastiness from Poison Ivy on my arm
4. Ice Cream truck. He showed up at work today.. ( well it was this prescheduled gig) but i got a red white & blue frozen lemonade twist thing.. super good.
5. I'm picking up Superman after work tonight..

1. Fruit Chute.. saw this online. might have to invest in it, looks pretty cool.

2. Corn Chowder Soup .it's on at Panera for the summer.  Totally in love with it.
3. Cherry Limeade (Sonic the best, but Panera's attempt is a B- )
4. Greek Salad--salad of the month at this house.
5. This Utensil caddy.. is super cool. we are always looking for ways to get all the pieces out to the picnic table at the cottage..

1. moisture control  potting soil.. been a lifesaver lately. I tested it out 2 years ago, not believing it would make much a difference & boy did it.  Some planters that I had to water daily, some even twice a day.. I could get away not watering for 2-3 days. Others not in the direct sun, can go almost a week.

2. One of my favorite colors this year.. I think they call it picasso in pink they also have a purple version of it too. 

3.Container Gardens--huge fan

   I like to put rather untraditional things in them. So you might find some grasses, fountain grass, corkscrew grass, potato vine, licorice... coleus.. posibilities are endless, but probably won't find any impatiens or marigolds in mine.                          

4. fresh strawberries coming out of my garden ( if the groundhog doesn't get them first )

1.  my new niece MacKenzie.. thank you to everyone for prayers for her.  ( she may get to come home either today/tomorrow) this is the only picture where she's asleep, but normally she is wide eyed and you can see her green eyes... I think she's going to have a hard time adjusting to clothes too.. she's been unclothed for most of her days so far, because of all the procedures, testing, etc...

                                                            

2. moss roses, one of my favorite annuals, under utilized plants. They are very resilient.. LOVE SUN..  and if you are lucky, they can reseed them selves if you let them go to seed in the fall.  --they don't get tall, but spread nicely..

3. We've had some run ins with some creatures in our yard, so I've been trying to capture them. I succeed in one respect, I caught a raccoon, but I've been trying to catch a big fat groundhog. We loaned out our second trap, to a friend who caught a raccoon the same day.. we nicely relocated the racoons to a nice stream area about 5 miles from us.. you have to move them far enough away, they won't come back. So tomorrow I will reset it for the groundhog, hopefully he didn't lure raccoon in there, & think I would give up.

4.This thing is my best friend when working outside.. it cuts thru anything.. & it folds in half. My sweet husband got me my own, this weekend, cuz I'm always asking to borrow his,& maybe just maybe I might misplace his sometimes, so now I have my own!!

5. It might make an appearance...It has definitely been a strange "spring" cold, wet, rainy.
