So we opted not to vacation last summer when Lizzie was born. So we had our week reserved to vacation for the summer she turned 1.. she was freshly 12 1/2 months when we were planning to go.
Well then the flu hit and a host of other things.. So our 9 days turned into only 4 1/2 away.
The first several were spent between the doctors office and urgent care. pedialyte, popsicles, and a few enema's later we were somewhat better to travel.. but still cautious.
It was a long drive.. in a bumpy truck, she thankfully slept most of it. We only had one throw up incident during the drive.

After a little scare day 1 there.. where Lizzie proved to keep us on our toes. We partied for the holiday on day 2 and stayed in and never had a campfire the other nights.
Lizzie enjoyed Swimming ( a little ) the water was still very cold.. she stayed close to shore. she liked her first boat ride and seeing the snake in the water ( mommy did not )
