I can't wait for snow to hit. Things will slow down a lot !! Don't tell hubs I said this.. he would like the snow to hold off for a while.

Went to my sister's house to help out, did some laundry & cleaned up outside.. >> going back tomorrow after church to purge the garage.
Sunday is a big day at our church, the archdiocese is supposed to be meeting w/ the parish to disclose our fate.. ( they have been saying they may close us, but haven't done it.) We have a younger priest, the neighboring 2 parishes have older priests, one of whom passed away several months ago. From documents the diocese published last year, they are not putting another priest in a parish, if the current pastor is unable to serve it any longer. The other parish close to us, the priest has been ill.
We are the smallest of the 3, but they have been bullying our pastor.. Please pray that they CLEARLY identify, what they plan to do with all 3 parishes.. ( they haven't officially closed any of us 3)

Praying for your refi and your church! I haven't heard of them closing churches before. That is really sad if they do, especially if it is just because of size.

Closing of churches is a hot issue around here. The town I got married in, a year after our wedding, they closed 3 churches and left one open. One of the closed churches is being torn down, & waiting for zoning to be approved to become a "w.a.l.m.a.r.t" 2 of the churches were purchased from other church denominations. They used a statisic this weekend.. that in approx 10 years in our diocese, there will only be 1 priest for every 5000 familes..
