Just a few of the random things, from the past weekend.
We have our own lake.
Our Lake leads to this ( sump pump ) being over worked and overflowing into our basement ( at this point in picture we spent 3 hours cleaning up ). New sump pump installed - Old one still works -- just clogged from hard water -- so the float won't go up and down - triggering it to go on .

DeleteNothing like lake front property! Sorry to hear that the sump pump didn't work as well as it should. Hopefully none of the hard work you did on your basement was ruined.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, because of laundry needing to be folded, we caught it before it became a problem! But this also foils my husbands dream of having carpeting in the basement again ( waiting for my bonus at work to do the flooring ) So we have to decide to Tile, Paint, or ??? for the floor. I envision a rug or 2 making it down there.
DeleteUgh, I remember my parents having sump pump problems a few times in the years we lived in Michigan. So sorry you're dealing with that :-/
