Update on the step -father

His "cancer" surgery was today..

He made it thru the surgery.. the first text we got said, it was OK.

I found out this evening, that OK meant, they found that it had spread during the surgery.

His inital diagnosis was bladder cancer and did chemo treatment for it.
So along with taking his bladder  out, they took his prostate, and 10-20 lymph nodes. They had marble sized  growths on them.  It spreading to the lymph nodes was not known until this surgery.

He was reluctant to have the surgery, only because of delays along the way.

 He said before the surgery, he doesn't want to have to do any more treatments. These new finding will need more treatment. For now, he is still recovering and on heavy medications. The doctor has not told him of the findings, because they do not have the pathology back to be 100% certain.
