could you say a prayer

My dear father in law, had surgery yesterday. He had tumors removed from his kidney. (they took the bad part of half a kidney). We were lead to believe it was going to be minor surgery & he would be home the following day after surgery.

Not the case.  Hopefully he might come home Sunday. He made it up out of bed & was walking a very short distance today. We went to visit, and he did not look good, he was just eating his first soft food meal tonight, also he's been complaining of pain when he eats. He  is super drousy and he is in a lot of pain  & they are having a rough time controlling his blood pressure, blood sugar, and pain meds.  My mother in law is staying at the hospital w/ him, cuz she feels she needs to be his "advocate". I honestly think she needs to go home & let the doctors & nurses do their jobs for the night & herself get a good nights sleep & he might too.   She is very bad w/ the medical terminology & over dramatizes situations. Lets just say, we got a frightening call yesterday & were freaked out, cuz she said he flatlined.. well aparently she doesn't know what that means & thought that could be used interchangable for his blood pressure was low.

Please pray for his quick recovery & speedy return home.

**UPDATE** still not headed home, they are doing an x-ray this morning to find out if he has a blockage somewhere.. long story short, he should have passed a lot of gas/air yesterday & hasn't.  So they need to find out where it all is hiding.. + he has to have a blood transfusion, cuz he has lost too much blood. He is in a lot of pain..
