Little Happies Vol 17

Stop on over to Stephanie's part of the blog-o-sphere to see some more awesome  Little Happies at Blessed to Be

1. This is my strawberry harvest for the year.. the animals have sucessfully got all others or the blossoms before I could protect them. ( mostly the blossoms ). In any event. they are delicious. smaller= sweeter.

2. This little turkey's 13 month b'day party in town with the family.  Okay, she's really sweet & not really  a turkey, but her crawling in the tutu makes her look like one.

3. Securing her own seat, to eat at. Now give me some food.

4.  cupcakes for Happy #2/3 's birthday party.

These ones cherry chip with cream cheese frosting.  I went to 3 stores looking for "marachino" cherries with stems, none.  What's the deal!  These worked out ok.  Oh this is the cupcake the b'day girl chose to eat.

Lemon cupcakes with raspberry buttercream frosting ( stuck a raspberry in the cupcake too )
tasted like raspberry lemonade -- delicious  !!!!  My family loves raspberries. Growing up we had a garden filled with just raspberry plants. we would pick a collander full every day for several weeks. it pains me to buy them now.   We tried taking some plants with us when we moved & they do not like the clay soil we have.  They loved the sandy soil of the old house.  These were a huge hit.

Made these only cuz hubs loves chocolate,  Chocolate, chocolate, Chocolate. Yum

Sorry the frostings not as "perfect" as I'd like it, my decorating tool broke ( or broke from the last person who borrowed it ) so not as "professional" looking as I'd like but they sure tasted good.

  1. Pshhh... you cannot apologize for those cupcakes. They look perfect! And delicious! And adorable! I totally agree that raspberries are the best. We had a patch of them growing up on my farm too. It pains me to buy them in tiny containers for so much money now too.

Looks like it was a wonderful party. Great job on the creative flavors and the baking :)
